I have been wanting an electric scooter for a while now and did a lot of research on it and watched different videos on the many varieties that they have on the market. It all came down to my preference and type of electric scooter I wanted. First I wanted something that was fun, fast and easy to ride and enjoy. I chose the Hiboy S2 Pro for a lot of reasons over the other types of electric scooters on the market.
When mine arrived it was damaged and immediately contacted Hiboy support through their email and got a response back. After some emails with them I was sent out a new one and everything works great. The motor, the throttle and electric braking system are quiet. If you hear noise from the disc brake, it just needs adjusting. Customer support helped me and made sure everything was good especially if I had any questions about it.
First reason I chose the Hiboy S2 Pro scooter because of the solid tires it has. The solid honeycomb tires utilize the same type of rubber as solid tires, but they are built in a way where air pockets are left open in the tire making them less stiff. The other different types of tires just weren’t for me because I didn’t want to worry about tire pressure or getting a flat. With solid tires you never have to worry about a flat. The second reason was the 19MPH and as I show in my video I can get mine up to 20MPH. Keep in mind that is depending on your weight and size. Third reason was the 500W brushless hub motor it has. Fourth reason I love the look of the red lighting it has under the deck on each side it’s so very, very cool! The rubber grip on the deck of the Hiboy S2 is also really great. Keep in mind the solid tires will wear over time and they don’t have replacements.
The battery life on mine has been really great when cruising around on it. One thing I did notice that when it gets down to 3 bars on the battery it will struggle to reach 19MPH and usually reaches 18MPH. Not a big deal for me. As I said in my video never let the battery get down to nothing because it’s not good on it and will it affect the battery life.
Also this is very important!! When charging the scooter, make sure that you plug the charger into the scooter before plugging it into an electrical outlet. Never plug the scooter In while powered on or turn the scooter on while charging it. I have seen a lot of issues with charging the scooter and it not charging properly and this is why because you must do what I explained above and by doing this you will see the red light on the charger first instead of the green light
